Dyed to Order • Blossom 001 • A Sense of Place Collection: Spring

I’ll be donating 10% of all sales of this collection to the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Colorado. The ACLU, a non-partisan and non-profit organization, works to defend and preserve the individual rights of everyone — particularly members of disenfranchised communities, including people of color, LGBT persons, people experiencing homelessness or living in poverty, the elderly, students, women, immigrants, and prisoners. When I think about this project, of noticing the beauty right around us all, I also think of working to make our own communities a better place, and that’s what I feel the ACLU is doing. I’m happy to have the opportunity to give back to an organization that does such important work for us all.

This listing is dyed to order and will ship in 3-5 weeks. That’s longer than my usual wait time, so please see details below.

If possible, please order skeins from this collection separately from “ready to ship” items in my shop. If you aren’t able to do that, it’s okay, just know that your “ready to ship” items will come later with your “dyed to order” items.

Please note that I’ll be dyeing only two batches of this collection throughout its run in the shop. I’ll dye the first batch late June, and the second batch around the end of July. By then I’ll be well into working on the Summer collection, and Spring will phase out.

Thank you for your patience and support of this special project!

Process & Care

Colorways pictured are dyed on a variety of yarn bases. Not all yarn bases offered are superwash wool, so they will take speckles and colors slightly differently. Colors may vary slightly due to the nature of hand-dyed yarn and varying bases, and non-superwash wool bases will produce a more muted color and speckle appearance, while superwash wool will be more vibrant and clear speckling.

All of my yarn is hand-dyed in a smoke, perfume, and pet-free home. After dyeing, I hand-wash the skeins of yarn in Eucalan Lavender Wool Wash.

Suggested Care: wash gently with cool water, lay flat to dry.

As each skein is hand-dyed, colors may vary slightly. I have done my very best to capture the color of the yarn as accurately as possible; however, colors may vary from monitor to monitor.

If you’d like your yarn wound into a cake, please select the product in my shop titled “Wind my Skein into a Cake” and add it to your cart for checkout.
